10 tonne forklift
1 models are rated at 10 tonne. Which one is correct depends less on the number than on the load centre, the lift height and the surface — the three things that quietly reduce capacity.
What 10 tonne means in practice
Rated capacity is measured at a 500 mm load centre with the mast vertical. Every attachment moves that centre forward, and every millimetre of lift height reduces what the truck can safely hold. A 2 t truck with a 600 mm clamp is not a 2 t truck.
Three reductions matter before you compare prices:
- Load centre. A 1,200 mm fork carrying a pallet whose weight sits 600 mm out has already lost capacity. Block and coil loads are the usual offenders.
- Lift height. Above roughly 3 m the residual capacity curve falls. A truck that lifts 2 t at floor level may lift 1.6 t at 6 m.
- Attachment. Clamps, rotators and push-pull add weight and move the centre forward. The derate is published by the attachment maker, not by us.

The highlighted row is the model most often ordered in this band. It is not automatically the right one — the surface and the door width decide as often as the load.
