Material handling for retail and e-commerce
Retail back-of-house is small, busy and staffed by people who are not equipment operators. The machine has to be safe in untrained hands.
What decides the machine here
Operator skill
Low-level order pickers and pallet movers are used by store staff. Enclosed controls and speed limiting matter more than capacity.
Floor finish
Sales-floor tiles mark. Non-marking tyres are mandatory for anything that crosses into the shop.
Aisle width
Back-of-house corridors are narrower than a warehouse aisle. Measure the narrowest point, including door frames.
Noise and fumes
Nothing with an engine runs inside a shop. Electric only.
Models that work in this environment
The first four sizes of each relevant range. Every one links to its full specification.
| Range | Model | Capacity | Bought for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Electric Forklift | MS-05 | 0.5 t | Three-wheel, 0. |
| Electric Forklift | MS-08 | 0.8 t | Three-wheel, 0. |
| Electric Forklift | MS-10 | 1 t | Four-wheel, 1. |
| Electric Forklift | MS-15 | 1.5 t | Four-wheel, 1. |
The mistake we see most
Buying a full counterbalance truck for a back room that only needs a stacker. The truck is heavier, needs a licence, and does not fit the corridor.
Describe the site, not the machine
Ground surface, aisle or gate width, lift height, hours per shift, destination port. We answer with the model and the reason.
